As Told by Ginger is an American Emmy-nominated animated series that premiered on Nickelodeon in October 2000. The show focuses on Ginger Foutley and her adventures at Lucky Jr. High, as she records them in her diary. The series was noted for its storylines, character development and the fact that the characters change outfits each time a new day comes.

The show focuses mainly on the life of junior high school student Ginger Foutley. She, along with her friends, Darren Patterson, Dodie Bishop and Macie Lightfoot, all try to rise from the position of school geeks as they solve many conflicts that come their way. Luckily for Ginger, the most popular girl in school, Courtney Gripling, has taken a liking to her and often includes her in her social plans. At home, Ginger records her lively adventures in her diary.

Part 1, Season Of Caprice: Summer vacation finds Courtney conquering the great outdoors with a little help from Ginger, Dodie and Macie. Elsewhere, Miranda forms an unlikely alliance with Darren at military camp; and Carl and Hoodsey comb their neighborhood for an evil dognapper.

Part 2, Thicker Than Bug Spray: At summer camp, Courtney takes credit for Ginger's successes; and Darren and Miranda join forces to plan a great escape. Elsewhere, Carl and Hoodsey suspect that Principal Milty is the neighborhood dognapper.

Part 3, Break A Lake: Macie overcomes her fear of the lake just in time to help Miranda and Darren in their great escape from military camp; Carl and Hoodsey finally solve the dognapping case.
